The Aspen (CO) Times (6/7) reports a court has ruled that timeshare owners at the Ritz-Carlton Aspen Highlands can seek punitive damages in their class-action lawsuit “in addition to monetary awards for claims that their fractional ownerships tanked in value because of an affiliation with Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corp.” The owners claim the value of their “fractional ownerships plummeted by more than 89 percent” following the affiliation, which they had no influence over. They also “say they must pay condo association fees ranging from $12,000 to $16,000 a year, while Marriott point-holders do not.”
